I have found in a sheet, then in a Tupperware box, but sometimes the place still smells of cheese (Camembert, Brie) - all suggestions welcome.

The current practice of storing cheese. Simply put an odor absorbing device in the fridge. Activated carbon, as you will see tablets in bottles of medication, but do greater will.
